Weingut - Feuerwehr Wagner

As documented in the city chronicles, the Wagner family has produced fine wine for over 300 years. The family vineyards in the foothills around Vienna and Klosterneuburg-Weidling now cover 30 acres. The eldest of the wine cellars was built in the 17th century. The family product has been sold in the tavern since Emperor Josef II legalized public sale in 1784. The business acquired its unusual name from the family ancestor Josef Wagner, who was chief of the local volunteer fire brigade at the turn of the 20th century.

Since the renovation in 1974 the tavern accommodates seven rooms on two floors as well as a terraced garden and a picturesque arcaded courtyard. In winter lovely tiled stoves add a special cosiness to the rooms. Apart from excellent wines we are proud to offer an extensive selection of warm and cold dishes as well as seasonal specialities from our buffet.
